Bad Breath Solutions

Bad breath (Halitosis) is a problem few can admit and even fewer will point out. It's especially difficult to detect since a person can't smell his or her own breath.

Bad breath (medically termed halitosis) is a common problem faced by a large number of people these days. Bad breath affects an estimated 25 percent of people.

There are a number of possible causes of halitosis, but the vast majority come down to oral hygiene.

The problem can turn out to be quite depressing and embarrassing at times to the afflicted person as well as the people around.

Halitosis is something that mints, mouthwash or a good brushing can’t solve. Unlike “morning breath” or a strong smell that lingers after a tuna sandwich, halitosis remains for an extended amount of time and may be a sign of something more serious. Treatment of bad breath should be aimed at eliminating the root cause of the problem rather than adopting camouflaging measures such as mouth fresheners, mouthwashes etc.

Bad Breath Experiences...

"He works here in this office and is so very sweet! We had an outing a few years ago and he latched on to me like a puppy. I enjoy talking to him and helping him out in a friend sorta way but OMG his breath is just WHOA! I won't say anything, that would be mean, but how can he not notice? I hate when he's showing me new things because he gets so close and I literally stop breathing until he leaves!"

"I knew someone with breath so bad it would knock a buzzard off a fence post from 50 yards away. I got real good at walking backwards away from him while breaking out the breath mints to offer him."

"I cannot stand when people do not practice good hygiene. Well, I have a second cousin who has false teeth, so she doesn't clean her mouth out, just those teeth. One time we went to a funeral-viewing thing. Her breath was horrible. It was so bad I almost threw up in the car. But at this funeral, it was crowded, and she was in people's faces talking to them and I would watch their facial expressions. It was so damn funny because they would make these awful faces intially and then try to play it off, but they would see me smirk and they would too because we both knew we were thinking about how bad my cousin's breath was lol!"
